Dear Reader,
You have seen and experienced so much over the years. Now it’s time to share everything you have kept in your body, heart, and soul.
You may now be facing more challenging moments than ever before, such as chronic illness, terminal illness, grief, loss of friends and family, and grief of what once used to be your life now changing.
While looking around and maybe questioning what’s left of your life, what you see may look like sadness and decline. Loss of sleep, constant worry about something terrible happening, loneliness, and hopelessness cloud the mind. It feels like it’s time to see someone who can understand.
Avoiding talking about feelings and experiences will only continue to send you down a path covered in darkness, causing you to lose the “golden years” you may have dreamt of for so long. Life does not need to be shadowed in darkness any longer.
I am here and ready to listen!
Let’s start with what brought you to this moment and discuss how you feel. Therapy and sharing of experiences may not have always been accepted or encouraged, but current knowledge helps us see that the best way to feel free is to let these worries and thoughts out of your mind.
Chronic illness may leave you feeling betrayed by your body and questioning every action you have taken to care for your health. Sometimes, these illnesses are not your fault, and other factors contribute to your situation.
You can trust yourself again, and you can trust your body. If you are experiencing early cognitive declines, we can also work together to build your brain muscle through cognitive exercises and processing.
Terminal illness mostly comes when one least expects it. Sharing internal thoughts and worries feels impossible to share with family and friends for recognition that they are also processing this heavy news. Allow this safe therapeutic place to be your space to share your deepest thoughts and worries, and together we can formulate ways to find your control over this and plan your next steps.
Grief and loss come throughout life, but maybe it feels overwhelming now. Through open-ended sessions or guided 12-week support, we can process this experience together.
Let’s meet your challenges.
I am here to take this journey with you. Don’t let your challenges keep you from enjoying your latter years.
As a therapist, I have considerable experience working with seniors, and I know we can find ways to address problems that arise.
Don’t hesitate to contact me today, and let’s discuss your challenges.
