Do you see people in person?
What are your hours?
Office hours are Monday through Thursday. The first appointment of the day starts at 9:00 AM PT, and the last meeting of the day begins at 5 PM PT.
*Later start times may be available upon request.
How long are the sessions?
With whom do you work?
We work with adult women with crippling anxiety, depression, or experiencing a life transition. We also work with men and women between the ages of 55 and 75 who have received a terminal diagnosis or other health concern that jeopardizes their future and independence.
We are open to learning about you and determining whether we are a good match. If you think we would be a solid therapeutic alliance, reach out!
Do you take insurance?
No – because we are not fond of restraints on healing work. Many insurance companies restrict the number of sessions and modalities used and require a mental health diagnosis to be a part of your medical history. Let’s focus on the actual work and not add worry or stress to something being made “permanent” in your medical record.
However, if you would like a “Superbill” for possible reimbursement by your insurance company, we can discuss that and provide it if necessary.
How do I set up an initial appointment?
What is your cancellation policy?
Time is so important to everyone, and we want to ensure that our services are as vital to you as the thing that might keep you from attending sessions. Cancellations must be received 24 hours before your appointment. If you fail to meet this requirement, we will charge you for the session you missed.
Life does happen, so let’s talk if something occurs and see if we can reschedule a session for the same week and discuss late cancellations or no-shows.
Is Telehealth secure?
Do you assign "homework" between sessions?
You can receive it only if you like homework! “Homework,” such as meditation prompts or possible techniques completed or attempted between live sessions, is a great way to progress between our meeting times but is always optional.
The best part is that any answer, attempt or non-attempted, earns you an A because you are showing up for yourself, which is enough!
Will I ever feel comfortable talking about these things?
Stigma has surrounded mental health experiences, strong emotions, and sharing of deep emotions for centuries. We are finally becoming aware and accepting that all these things make us whole people.
With that said, you can learn to feel comfortable through this experience because validating your truth and speaking your truth is the best way to feel pleased about any of your experiences.
